Content strategies that used to work... but don’t anymore

(and what works now instead)

1. Old vs Now
Before:
“Share 10 posts a day to stay relevant.”
→ The more you post, the better.

Now:
Flooding your audience leads to scroll fatigue. Intentional, high-value posts perform better.
→ 2–3 posts/week that trigger DMs, saves, or shares outperform daily random posts.

Example: Instead of 10 random fitness tips, post one story about how a client doubled their squat in 4 weeks.

2. Old vs Now
Before:
“Top 5 morning routines to be productive.”
→ Any numbered list could get clicks.

Now:
Hooks that reveal mistakes, unexpected wins, or personal growth get attention:
→ “I wasted 3 months on the wrong morning routine.”
→ “This tiny adjustment boosted my engagement by 70%.”
→ “If I could redo my first 10 posts, I’d scrap half of them.”

3. Old vs Now
Before:
Position yourself as the untouchable expert.
→ “Trust my advice, I’ve done it all.”

Now:
Audiences connect with humans, not pedestals:
→ “I used to hate networking, but this one strategy doubled my leads.”
→ “Here’s what I learned failing at 5 ad campaigns.”
→ “I almost quit Instagram, until I discovered this growth method.”

4. Old vs Now
Before:
Polished slides, heavy graphics, and stock photos.

Now:
Authentic and relatable visuals work best:
→ Handwritten notes, process screenshots, casual workspace shots.
→ Mini behind-the-scenes clips or time-lapse videos.

Example: Show your video editing workflow in 3 slides with doodles and annotations.

5. Old vs Now
Before:
Jump on trending audios and memes.
→ Quick views, but no loyalty.

Now:
Real stories told in your own voice create impact:
→ Face-to-camera breakdowns (“How I gained 1,000 followers in 7 days using just one tactic”).
→ Quick tutorials or experiment recaps.
→ Short voiceover stories sharing wins or lessons learned.

Example: “I tried 5 growth hacks in one week, only this one worked.”
